Women deserve a central role in the future of psychedelic medicine.

Psychedelic Medicine Coalition envisions a healthy society in which psychedelic medicines are not only widely understood and respected but safely and legally used as treatment tools that are fully integrated into society. The journey of making this our reality begins by engaging our lawmakers and educating them on the history, research, power, and potential of psychedelic medicines.
The PMC Women's Council is a national community of women leading, supporting, and funding the responsible integration of psychedelic medicine into American healthcare. As these therapies move closer to broader clinical use, we have a chance to ensure women's health needs, experiences, and voices help shape what comes next.

Why the Women's Council, and why now?

Women face unique health challenges throughout their lives, yet their needs have long been underrepresented in medical research and healthcare delivery. Psychedelic medicine may hold real potential for women, but critical questions remain unanswered. We need research focused on women's health, trusted information to guide decisions, and resources to support women before, during, and after treatment.

The PMC Women's Council is building that foundation now.

Our Vision

Our long-term goal is to fund research focused specifically on women and psychedelics.

We're also building a trusted network to give women education, community, and practical resources as psychedelic-assisted treatments become available. These treatments involve far more than administering a medicine. Women and their families need support navigating treatment, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.

What we will do

The Women's Council will:
  • Elevate women's health within psychedelic research, policy, and healthcare discussion
  • Build support for research on women and psychedelics
  • Connect women across healthcare, research, philanthropy, policy, business, and lived experience
  • Develop trusted educational resources for women considering treatment
  • Help build a supportive community for women before, during, and after care
  • Ensure women help shape how these treatments are responsibly integrated
